Christmas Jam

The season is here again. This is a season that goes with a lot of buying, exchange and celebrations. I am talking about Christmas.

But what is this Christmas all about? Why is it so important to so many people across the globe? Why do people prepare so much for a one day event? Why do people spend so much this season?

Christmas is consider by many as the birthday of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Saviour of the World! But was Jesus Christ actually born on this day? The Bible, the book of all books does not state when Jesus Christ was born. However, this day is considered or appointed as the day He was born and the celebration of his birth has been on for this long.

This day has been very important to many people across the globe, because, it is considered by Christians and people of like faith as the day the Saviour, the deliverer was born to emancipate the human race from the claws of internal condemnation. Apart from Christians, other people of like faith including pegans celebrate this day too to show love to other people.
Actually, this day is considered as the day of love, celebration and sharing. Because, Jesus Christ represent love and peace.

Ever since many of us were born, we have been celebrating Christmas, in most cases, we save a lot of money during the cause of the year to enable us meet many of our needs during the Christmas. I remember when I was a child, my parents ensure I, my brothers and sisters have enough clothes and many goddies during this season.

Even now that I have become a father myself, the trend is still the same. Unlike those days where we have to go to the market and shopping mall to buy the things we need for the Christmas, the internet present a lot of convenience thereby reducing the hitherto traffic jams this season use to create in most designated markets. I was just browsing through some best online website  for my shopping and discovered how much has change over the years.

And the good thing about the whole experience is there are quality products out there at relatively cheap prices with money back guarantee for people to the take advantage of.

This is a season we all spend to share with our loved ones. But in as much as this season is important in our lives, we should remember that there is life after this season. If you are like me, there is school fees to be paid in January next year, so spend wisely and reserve money for other things you may need thereafter. Get best and cheap products that will still serve you this season without breaking the bank!

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2014

Future Trends and Techniques in Segmentation

Segmentation consists of group of buyers or a process of identifying groups of buyers who share similar set of need and wants.  It is the breakdown of the market for a particular product or service into segments of customers, which differs in terms of needs, wants, lifestyle, religion, income level, gender, buying process etc, and their response to marketing strategies. Today’s organisations need fresh thinking on how to operate and compete in the new economy characterised by hypercompetition, customization and digitalisation. An organisation cannot serve all the consumers in the entire market, the consumers are too many and are too diverse in their buying process.  An organisation therefore, needs to identify the market segment(s) it can best serve. Organisations been aware of these facts has been segmenting their products offerings to target a particular segment(s) of the market rather than using the old method of mass-marketing.  ...

Performance Measurement and Reward System

As the global war for talent grows increasingly fierce, management of people is a key concern among organisations.  Once thought primarily in terms of cost, people in successful companies are being valued as rich sources of talent, skill and diversity, which are critical to the success of the organisation. Managers have identified the shortage of skills as one of the main threat to prospect of growth; they are devoting a greater share of resources to protecting themselves.  For this reason, the role of human resource in an organisation has been and continues to be scrutinized in terms of how it can add most value with the rest of the organisation, helping to overcome the challenges adherent in the people agenda. In defining performance measurement, Dessler states that it “means evaluating an employee’s current or past performance relative to the person’s performance standards”.  This entails evaluation or assessment of the actual p...

Marketing Planning: doing it right

There is an adage that ‘he who fails to plan, plan to fail’. This statement is as true as tomorrow, because whether you like it or not, tomorrow must surely come – unless you are dead! Planning is the integral part of our daily activities. If you don’t plan your day before going out, no wonder you failed everyday! For marketers planning is an essential task that must be continually undertaken. As we will see, shifting market conditions, including changing customer needs, advance in technology and competitive threats, almost always insure that what worked in the past will not work in the future, thus requiring a new strategy on how a product is marketed. Marketing planning is also important since it is often a prerequisite for obtaining funding whether one is a marketer in a large corporation seeking additional money for his or her department or is part of a small start-up company looking for initial funding. The 21 st century business environment...
