The Secret of Getting Anything you want!

What makes successful people different from the miserable fellows? What do the rich know that the poor people don't know? Is there really a secret that successful know that other people don't know?

These are some of the questions that many people I know and some of you are still asking yourself even today. But is there really a secret that one need to know to get whatever he or she want in life?

I asked myself these questions several times in the past. And as the burden of these questions began to weigh on me, I decided to do something about it by all cost. I attended seminars, workshops, church services, Jumat prayers, I read books and also seek advice from people that I considered successful.

While other successful people were willing to give me little time from their schedule, others simply ignored me and consider me a pain.
But when you really want something so badly, you can keep asking, seeking and knocking. No wonder, "winners never quit and quiters never win".

Incidentally I never knew that all I was looking for was right within me. All the secrets I need to succeed  were hidden somewhere within me all the time but I could not fathom how to use it.

So what is this secret of getting anything one wants?
The first secret is changing your mentality. You may ask what I mean.
Simply, you cannot plant maize and harvest rice. It is "impossible" - I hate to use that word.
Likewise, if you are always thinking of poverty, you will always get POVERTY. No doubt about it. So if you want to get anything you want in life, be positive in you thinking. Believe it is possible in spite of any circumstances that may be surrounding you at the moment. No wonder, the BIBLE says "everything is possible to him that believes". Don't blame others for your ill-luck, always look forward to better things ahead - for there is enough for everybody anywhere! Even in Somalia!
Exercise your dominion as a champion and stop complaining over circumstances. You are created by the Great Creator to dominate not to surrender to circumstances! That is just the difference between winners and losers. Winners dominate circumstances, loser complain about what is happening to them.

What happens to you yesterday is irrelevant. What will happen today or what you are doing about tomorrow is more important.

Do you have a goal about what you intend to achieve in life or you are just been tossed by the waves?
Be specific about what you want in life and stick to it. You need a goal to drive you to success.

Whether you believe it or not, God exist. Nothing happens by chance and you MUST thank God all the time for giving you what you are expecting before you even get it.

Visualize what you are expecting as coming to pass. That is, if you want a new car and you are trusting it to materialize; visualize yourself driving that brand of car every morning and before you sleep.

Be on the look out for the surprise. Somebody may not walk up to you to hand over the keys of the car to you; but you may get that particular car cheaper than it is sold in the market!

So where are you right now? Take the right step and see yourself achieving that which you thought impossible. See you at the success corner.

INTERNAL PROMOTION AND SUCCESSION PLANNING

Promotion comes as a result of ones performance on the job over a period of time, or it could be said to be an advancement in ones profession. Succession on the other hand is a shift in position as a result of promotion, transfer, retirement or death of others. It could be as well a change in policy of an organisation leading to reorganisation of operations and human resources. Getting succession right is vital. There are two approaches that can be used at different times to ensure success. The internal selection approach advocates choosing successors from within, to ensure a smooth transition, preserve company values, and encourage employees by showing a potential career path. Most organisations struggle with how to turn succession into success. It is necessary to use either internal selection or the Darwinian approach at different levels or at different times. For example, a high percentage (80%) of senior roles may be internally appointed, while junior roles are sel...

GREEDY PEOPLE, POOR NATION

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, 'Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.  In the middle of the room was a large round table.  In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly.  They appeared to be famished.  They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.  But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, 'You have seen Hell.' They went to the next room and opened the door.  It was exactly the same as the first one.  There was the la...

Reasons for most Business Failures

There has been rampant cases of business failures both in the past and at present.  One wondered what is behind this.  Some even make assertions that the business world has collapsed, some says businessmen has joined the political wagon that they have failed to differentiate between business capital and profit. All these assertions have no basis.  You may ask what then has been behind most business failures?  The answer to this question is simple “poor customer relations”. One of the single greatest key to long-term business success can be summed up in three simple words: Quality customer service. Yet as customers, you and I are aware that quality customer service is far too rare these days in spite that many business organisations have invested heavily in this unit but few actually make any headway.  Why is excellent service so rare? There are three reasons for this.             Employees don’t know t...
